Lui Door Knob Set by Verum Italy is defined by its rounded conical base and flat, angled face. The interplay of these two forms offers a refined, modern take on the traditional door knob. Part of the Nuda collection, Lui balances precision and simplicity in a clean, rose-less design. Made in Italy.

A key design feature is the absence of a rose backplate, making these handles unsuitable for pre-bored doors.

Passage

For doors that latch but do not require a lock (e.g., hallways, closets).

Privacy

For doors that lock from one side (e.g., bathrooms, bedrooms).

Components included:

• Pair of knobs
• Thumb turn with emergency release trim
• Euro mortise
• Strike plate

Dummy (Half or Full Set)

For decorative or push/pull applications, such as closets or pantry doors.

Half Dummy Set — A single knob installed on one side of the door only, with no hardware on the reverse.

Full Dummy Set — A pair of knobs installed on both sides of the door, providing a balanced look with no latch or locking function.

Fixing options for Dummy sets

• Standard (rear fixing – with Dummy adapter): Installed using Verum’s Dummy adapter, which secures the knob through an internal cylinder. The fixing is concealed, leaving the front face clean. Recommended when rear access is available.
• Custom (frontal fixing – knob for through fixing): Uses a knob designed specifically for frontal installation. The fixing screw passes through the door or panel and connects directly into the knob. Suitable for panels up to 100 mm (3.94″) thick and can be cut to size as needed. Additional lead time applies.

• Knob: W 52 mm (2.05″) × D 54 mm (2.13″)
• Thumb turn (privacy only): W 27 mm (1.06″) × D 23 mm (0.91″)
• Thumb turn spindle (privacy only): Ø 6 mm. Installs on the external (non-locking) side of the door.
• Thumb turn spindle hole (privacy only): Ø 16 mm. Spindle length must suit door thickness and may require shortening.
• Privacy latch: Must accommodate a 6 mm spindle.
• Door bore hole allowance: Ø 16 mm (0.63″) – Ø 30 mm (1.18″)
• Not suitable for pre-bored doors.
• Commercial installations: Nuda handles can be ordered with preassembled spindles featuring a single fixing grain. Contact us for details.
