The Charlie Straight Grab Bar by CBH is a fully customizable safety bar available in multiple lengths, diameters, finishes, and flange configurations. Two surface options: smooth (residential/design-forward) and knurled (OBC and ADA compliant for regulated spaces). Made in Canada.

Specifications

• Standard diameter: 31.75 mm (1.25″)
• Custom diameters: 25.4 mm (1″), 38 mm (1.5″ – OBC/ADA code-compliant size)
• Standoff: H 38 mm (1.5″) from wall to inside surface of grab bar

Surface Options

• Smooth – Refined and minimalist; suitable for residential and design-forward spaces. May not meet code requirements for grip in regulated spaces.
• Knurled – Functional high-grip texture that meets Ontario Building Code (OBC) and ADA requirements for accessibility. Ideal for public or regulated environments. Hand-applied – slight variations in texture, edge sharpness, or pattern consistency are inherent to the craftsmanship. All sales final.

Flange Options

• Concealed – only available for 31.75 mm (1.25″) diameter
• Exposed

Powder Coat Options

• Custom powder coating available on the grab bar, flanges, or both.
• Select from a wide range of colours to coordinate with surrounding finishes or create a contrasting accent.

Material Notes

• Antique and oxidized finishes are hand-applied, resulting in unique, organic surface variations.
• Lacquered finishes hold a consistent colour. Unlacquered finishes are left natural and develop a patina with handling and time. This is intended, not a defect, and slight variation between pieces is normal. Polish lightly to restore the brighter look, and the patina returns with use. For a uniform, unchanging surface, choose a lacquered finish.
• Most finishes are lacquered by default. Satin Nickel, Satin Chrome, and Satin Stainless Steel are unlacquered. Oxidized Bronze is lacquered unless requested otherwise.
